    Sponsor

    Long Island's Ugliest Deck Challenge (the Challenge) is run by Level Line Home Improvement Corp., 1 W Ames Ct, Plainview, NY 11803 (Level Line).

  2. 2.

    Eligibility

    The Challenge is open to legal residents of Nassau County or Suffolk County, New York, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. The deck entered must be at the home in Nassau or Suffolk County where the entrant lives. Employees of Level Line and members of their households are not eligible.

  3. 3.

    Entry period

    Entries open September 6, 2026 and close October 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Entries received after the close are not considered.

  4. 4.

    How to enter

    Submit the entry form at https://levellineli.com/ugliest-deck-challenge/ with your name, phone number, home address and email address, one to three photos of the deck, and an optional short description. The photos must show the deck at the address on the entry and must be taken by the entrant or with the permission of the person who took them. There is no cost to enter and no purchase is necessary.

    One entry per household

    One entry per household. Additional entries from the same household or for the same deck are not considered.

    Choosing the winner

    Level Line chooses the winner at its sole discretion. The winner is announced October 7, 2026 between 3 and 7 PM at the Level Line showroom grand opening, 1 W Ames Ct, Plainview, NY 11803, and is also contacted using the phone number or email address on the entry. Level Line’s decisions are final.

  7. 7.

    The prize

    The prize is a 10-foot by 10-foot deck built at the winner’s home with basic Trex decking on standard pressure-treated framing, no more than 8 inches off the ground. In plain words: a low, square deck, about the size of a small patio, with boards that never need staining or sealing, on a treated wood frame. The prize does not include stairs, railing, permits, lighting or demolition of any kind. Level Line is not responsible for sprinkler or waste lines or any unknown site conditions. The prize is non-transferable and has no cash value. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize.

  8. 8.

    Building the deck

    The deck is built at the winner’s home, at the address on the entry, subject to site conditions: what can be built there depends on the ground, the drainage and how the yard can be reached. Any permit the town or village requires is the winner’s responsibility. If the winner does not own the home, written permission from the property owner is required before work begins. Level Line and the winner agree on a build date after the announcement.

    Photos and publicity

    By entering, you agree to these official rules and grant Level Line permission to publish the photos you submit, along with your first name and town, on its website, its social media and in its marketing, without compensation.

    Your information

    The information on your entry is used to run the Challenge and to contact you about your entry. Your phone number, email address and street address are not published.

  11. 11.

    General

    Entries with false or incomplete information, or with photos that are not of the entrant’s own deck, may be disqualified. The Challenge is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
