Building decks in Riverhead
Riverhead is its own town and the seat of the East End, so it handles its own permitting, and the housing is a genuine mix: older homes downtown along the Peconic River, newer single-family and 55-and-over developments, and larger lots as you head east toward the farm country and the forks. More land generally means room for a full outdoor living space rather than a tight deck (a dining area, a patio and a shade structure), and the gentler East End grade keeps the structure itself straightforward. It is the furthest east we build, and the extra space usually shows in the design.
