Building decks in Bellmore
South Bellmore is canal country. Building on a bulkheaded waterfront lot is a different job from an inland backyard: everything is exposed to salt air, hardware has to be rated for it, and the layout has to respect the bulkhead line and the flood elevation. North of Merrick Road the housing shifts to capes, colonials and expanded ranches on standard lots, where a ground-level deck or a paver patio usually makes more sense.
A Level Line project in Bellmore
A canal-front outdoor living space finished in large-format porcelain pavers, built around a stacked-stone fireplace with a mounted television above it. Black aluminum fencing keeps the view to the water open along the bulkhead, with vinyl privacy fence and evergreens closing off the neighbours.
